Dedicated Employee Box Truck Driver

Rush Expediting, a local family-owned logistics company, is hiring a Box Truck Driver (Non-CDL or CDL Class B) for immediate placement in the Dayton area.
This role services a dedicated restaurant account three days per week, with additional routes dispatched the other two days. Our drivers are home every night and enjoy steady, reliable work with competitive pay.

Pay

• Non-CDL Drivers: $20/hr (Average $52,000+ annually)
• CDL Class B Drivers: $21/hr (Average $55,000+ annually)

Requirements

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B with air brakes endorsement or valid Class D License for Non-CDL role
• Must live within 30–45 minutes of our terminal (2619 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH)
• HazMat endorsement (or willing to obtain within 6 months)
• Tank endorsement preferred but not required
• Willingness to handle early morning retail store deliveries (3am–6am starts, as needed)
• Current DOT Medical Card
• Able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen
• Clean driving record: no more than 2 moving violations in the past 12 months or 3 in the past 3 years

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting, bending, and stair climbing
• Ability to lift/move packages up to 75 lbs. repeatedly
• Comfortable with prolonged driving/standing
• Navigating stairs and tight indoor spaces with a 2-wheeler

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a box truck (non-CDL or CDL-B)
• Load/unload packages at multiple stops by hand
• Use a 2-wheeler/dolly to deliver into restaurants and retail spaces
• Navigate stairs and tight interiors when required
• Follow delivery routes and time schedules
• Maintain accurate logs and obtain customer signatures
• Provide exceptional customer service at each stop
