Main responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise daily deli department operations, ensuring excellent customer service and department performance.
- Train, schedule, coach, and oversee deli associates to maintain appropriate staffing levels and productivity.
- Plan daily production and food preparation to meet customer demand and sales goals.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor product availability.
- Resolve customer concerns and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Prepare, merchandise, and maintain high-quality deli products, including hot and cold foods, trays, and specialty items.
- Promote deli products and services to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, weights and measures regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct inventory, temperature, and tare checks to support product quality and operational standards.

Operate deli equipment, cash registers, and oversee department merchandising and stocking activities.

- Knowledge of product pricing, sales reporting, and department operations.

Familiarity with deli equipment and food preparation techniques.

Ability to operate deli equipment safely and effectively.
Other requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass required food safety and company certification tests.
- Must be available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 pounds continuously, and operating deli equipment.
- Must comply with company uniform, grooming, and food safety standards.
