Delivery and Device Formulation Biochemist

Key Responsibilities

Formulation Preparation
- Accurately weigh reagents and excipients per formulation SOPs
- Mix and prepare formulations according to written protocols
Analytical Testing (UPLC)
- Prepare samples and run UPLC for formulation/content analysis
- Follow SOPs for method setup, solvent/mobile phase prep, sample injection, and data analysis
Characterization Testing
- Perform texture analyzer testing on microneedle arrays (e.g., mechanical strength, insertion force) per SOP
- Perform microscopic evaluation of microneedle arrays (e.g., needle integrity, morphology) per SOP
- Maintain accurate lab notebooks/records for all tasks performed
- Follow all lab safety and documentation standards

Required Background & Skills

MS/PhD: 1-2 yrs exp or BS: 3-5 yrs exp
Hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or analytical chemistry lab
Demonstrated experience with formulation prep: accurate weighing, calculations, and mixing per SOP
Demonstrated experience running UPLC/HPLC, including solvent/mobile phase prep, sample injection, and data analysis
Exposure to texture analyzer testing and microscopy are a plus

Position is full-time, working Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00p.m overtime as needed
