Summary
A DevOps-focused Delivery Consultant in AWS Professional Services who works on-site with UK national security customers to architect, implement, and migrate secure, scalable AWS cloud solutions. Day to day involves hands-on delivery, security-focused architecture (IAM, logging, monitoring), workshops, and advisory work.
In this role you design, implement and manage AWS solutions to meet customer goals, guiding cloud adoption and ensuring secure, scalable outcomes. You will work on-site with clients and partners in the UK, applying best practices and migrating or building applications on AWS. You will influence roadmaps by sharing customer feedback with AWS teams and develop reusable artifacts to accelerate future engagements. This position emphasizes security, enterprise mindset, and delivering measurable customer value through hands-on delivery and advisory work.
Responsibilities- Define and deliver on-site technical engagements with customers and partners
- Architect and implement security-focused AWS solutions (IAM, logging, monitoring, data protection, incident response)
- Lead delivery activities on customer projects, including migration or development of applications on AWS
- Provide guidance on industry trends and innovative AWS services to customers
- Contribute to practice development by creating tools, artefacts and knowledge sharing
- Engage with sales and AWS service teams; present workshops; support PoC development
- Research, validate and beta test new AWS services; gather customer and partner feedback for roadmaps
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture
- Experience in software development with an object-oriented language
- Experience in consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions
- Experience with cloud computing technologies and AWS or similar cloud platforms
- Experience leading design, development and deployment of software at scale or hands-on infra (compute, storage, networking, virtualization)
