Job Summary:

The Delivery Driver will move parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plans and completes efficient delivery and pick-up routes for the day.
  • Loads the delivery vehicle with bakery goods scheduled for delivery.
  • Deliver goods to correct franchises and other facilities, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
  • Picks up carts and stackers along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
  • Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
  • Ensures that delivery vehicles receive basic service according to the maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to the supervisor.
  • Assists in general warehouse duties when the delivery route is completed, if needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to drive safely.
  • Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
  • Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
  • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
  • Able to always remain professional and courteous.

Education and Experience:

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must have “For Hire or Chauffer License”.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to regularly pull, push, and lift up to 200 pounds.
  • Must be able to load and unload bakery goods with and without dollies in various types of weather.
