Delivery Driver (CDL B Required)

Discussion

Hancock Lumber is passionate about its people-first and values-driven culture. Enjoy competitive pay, excellent benefits, and something that's becoming harder to find: time outside of work. With no nights and no weekends, you'll have more time for yourself and your family while being part of a highly engaged and supportive team.

This is a full-time driver position responsible for delivering lumber and building materials to customer job sites using a Class C box truck and other company vehicles. While the majority of deliveries are completed with a box truck, a valid CDL B license is required so the successful candidate can occasionally provide backup coverage for our CDL delivery fleet when needed.

We're looking for a safe, dependable professional who enjoys serving customers, takes pride in their work, and values being part of a team.

“Great companies will keep finding ways to help employees earn more money, but they will also increasingly give their team members something perhaps even more important: the gift of time. Work should not be hurried, hectic, or chaotic. Nor should it be all-consuming.” –Kevin Hancock, Hancock Lumber CEO

What You'll Do

  • Safely transport and deliver lumber and building materials to customer locations.
  • Primarily operate a Class C box truck for scheduled deliveries.
  • Provide backup coverage on CDL B delivery vehicles as business needs require.
  • Load, unload, and properly secure building materials.
  • Verify delivery paperwork and ensure materials are delivered accurately.
  • Provide outstanding customer service at jobsites and customer locations.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Follow all safety policies, DOT regulations, and company procedures.
  • Work closely with yard, dispatch, and sales teams to support customer needs.
  • Valid CDL B license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to safely operate a Class C box truck and CDL vehicles.
  • Previous delivery, transportation, or building materials experience preferred.
  • Strong focus on safety and customer service.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and handle building materials.
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and detail-focused.
