The Role
As a Transfer Truck Driver, you'll keep our branches stocked and our customers supplied by moving product between the Kaysville warehouse and our other locations. You'll operate a straight truck (GVWR up to 26,000 lbs), load and unload freight, and help out in the warehouse between runs. This is a great fit for a dependable driver who wants steady part-time hours and a team that values safety.
What You'll Do
- Drive scheduled transfer routes between the Kaysville warehouse and other LINC branches
- Load, secure and unload product, including palletized freight
- Operate a forklift safely to load and unload the truck and stage freight in the warehouse
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Verify transfer paperwork and shipments for accuracy
- Keep the truck clean, organized and in safe working condition
- Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed
What You'll Need
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Current DOT medical card (required to operate a vehicle with a GVWR of 26,000 lbs). No CDL required.
- Willingness to become forklift certified (LINC provides training)
- Ability to lift up to [50] lbs and work on your feet in a warehouse setting
- Reliable, punctual and safety-minded
- Must be at least [21] years old
Nice to Have
- Previous box truck or straight truck experience
- Forklift experience or current certification
- Familiarity with Northern Utah routes
- Bilingual English/Spanish
