Delivery Driver: Shipping Done Right Corp. (FT or PT)

Benefits & Scheduling

• Starting pay: $24 per hour.
• Paid weekly.
• 10-hour shifts are typical.
• 4-day workweek, including one weekend day; 40 or fewer hours per week is typical.
• Minimum of two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute meal break.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Successfully handle and deliver packages on time.
• Safely drive and perform vehicle safety inspections.
• Follow all local and state laws, road and driving regulations, and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events or conditions.
• Work in all weather conditions and on varied routes; frequently lift and lower packages up to 50 pounds; tilt, push, or slide packages weighing 50–70 pounds on and off a hand truck without a helper; repeatedly enter and exit the delivery van throughout the shift.
• Communicate effectively with the support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed.
• Use smartphone technology to navigate GPS directions, scan packages, communicate with team members, and clock in and out of shifts.
• Load and unload packages in the delivery vehicle.
• Support the team with route rescues as needed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must hold a non-provisional, unrestricted driver's license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass a 4-panel drug screening. Pre-employment marijuana testing is excluded.
• Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record. Multiple violations can disqualify a candidate.
• English required: Must have sufficient English speaking, reading, writing, and communication skills to understand safety and delivery instructions, read road signs, use delivery tools, and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.

Hiring Process

The hiring process typically takes 1–2 weeks. It may take longer if you have an out-of-state driver's license.
