Delivery Manager - Dynamics 365 (D365)
Description
Salary: ~$200,000 + Bonuses
This Delivery Manager role comes with real authority and a leader good humans want to work for.The business is a family-owned agribusiness, founded in the 1700s and now run by the seventh generation of the founding family. It’s partway through a multi-year transformation on Microsoft, and the groundwork is done.
The CRM has just moved from Salesforce to Dynamics 365 Sales (phew), governance is in place, and a Digital Adoption Lead is making sure people use what gets delivered. Your job is to turn a steady stream of business requests into predictable, regular releases (amongst other things).
Your leader
You’ll report to the Head of ICT ANZ. I’ve worked with him directly. He’s approachable, responsive and a clear communicator, and he’s a calculated, deep thinker who is also good fun to work with. His team respects him, and the proof is in the numbers: turnover is low. People who join him tend to stay.
The role
You’ll have no direct reports. Delivery happens through three groups: business leaders across Research, Production, Supply Chain, Finance and Sales; an ICT team in Brisbane and Auckland; and external implementation partners.
- Run the pipeline for ERP (D365 Finance and Operations), CRM (D365 Sales), BI and AI: intake, prioritisation, scheduling and release
- Keep the support queue and planned work in balance
- Chair the ERP, CRM and Data working groups and report to the Steering Committee
- Hold partners to scope, budget and schedule: statements of work, change requests, and timesheets checked against invoices
- Around 10 years leading business systems delivery as a Delivery Manager, Service Delivery Manager or senior project manager
- Delivered Dynamics 365 and know it well enough to challenge a partner’s scope and estimate without configuring it yourself. Finance and Operations is preferred, and Sales is valued
- Run continuous releases and an ITSM queue side by side
- Managed vendors with full budget accountability
- Got senior people to agree on priorities when none of them reported to you
- A habit of getting to the point. Updates here go to a Steering Committee of non-technical leaders, so they need to be short and plain
The detail
- Fortitude Valley office, five days a week for your first six months. After that it’s hybrid: Tuesday to Thursday in the office, and Monday and Friday at home
- Circa $200k package plus discretionary bonus
- Some travel to Australian and New Zealand sites, including an induction trip in your first month
- Permanent, starting early 2027
- Australian working rights required
