A DAY IN THE LIFE:

At Tandem Diabetes Care, we are creating new possibilities for people living with diabetes, their loved ones, and healthcare providers through a positively different experience.

We are looking for a Demand Planer Manager to join our International team. This role is based in the Netherlands and offers a remote working arrangement. The successful candidate should be willing and able to travel regularly to other international locations as required to support business needs.
In this influential role, you will lead demand planning, forecasting, inventory allocation, and operational coordination across Tandem’s international distributor and direct markets. You will help align customer demand, product availability, revenue expectations, and fulfilment plans while strengthening the processes and partnerships that support our continued international growth.

STAY AWESOME:

Tandem is dedicated to making diabetes technology more intuitive, innovative, and human. We combine advanced technology with a personal connection to our mission, always keeping the needs of people living with diabetes at the heart of what we do.

As our Demand Planer Manager, you will turn market insights and commercial priorities into clear, actionable demand plans. Working across Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Regulatory, and distributor partners, you will help identify risks early, optimise inventory, and ensure international markets are ready for product launches and changing customer needs.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

In this role, you will:

  • Own the monthly demand planning and forecasting process for Tandem’s international distributor partners and direct markets.

  • Consolidate market forecasts and analyse forecast accuracy, bias, demand variability, purchasing patterns, and emerging trends.

  • Establish effective planning rhythms, including monthly reviews with direct markets and quarterly demand reviews with distributor partners.

  • Lead and participate in S&OP discussions covering demand, inventory health, service levels, purchasing patterns, and operational risks.

  • Build strong partnerships with country leadership and distributor teams to gather real-time market intelligence, commercial insights, competitive developments, tender opportunities, and launch information.

  • Challenge assumptions and investigate material forecast changes, demand spikes, demand erosion, inventory imbalances, and unusual ordering trends.

  • Create consensus demand plans that balance market expectations, inventory availability, supply constraints, financial objectives, and operational capabilities.

  • Align forecasts with open orders, shipment plans, product availability, and fulfilment expectations in partnership with Operations Specialists, Logistics, Fulfilment, and Supply Chain.

  • Support new product introductions, software releases, product enhancements, and discontinuations by developing market-specific forecasts, inventory strategies, and transition plans.

  • Identify ageing, excess, or potentially obsolete inventory and work with international markets to develop mitigation and depletion strategies.

  • Lead demand allocation planning during supply-constrained situations, taking account of customer impact, tender commitments, launches, available inventory, and market requirements.

  • Partner with Finance on revenue planning and help develop dashboards and reporting covering forecast performance, inventory exposure, order trends, and revenue projections.

  • Present demand, inventory, and fulfilment insights to Commercial and Operations leadership.

  • Improve planning tools, reporting, operational workflows, automation, and analytics to increase forecast accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, development, and performance management to Operations Specialists.

  • Set team priorities, support cross-training and succession planning, and create a culture of collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

The position may require flexibility to collaborate across international time zones and independent international travel of up to 25%.

EXTRA AWESOME:

You will bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.

  • At least six years of experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, sales operations, inventory planning, or commercial operations.

  • Strong knowledge of forecasting, demand planning, inventory management, allocation, and supply chain processes.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the confidence to assess complex supply-and-demand scenarios and make data-informed recommendations.

  • Financial and commercial acumen, including an understanding of revenue forecasting.

  • Experience collaborating across Commercial, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain functions.

  • Strong communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to communicate insights to leadership audiences.

  • Fluent spoken and written English.

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in an international, fast-moving, and evolving environment.

It would be especially valuable if you also have:

  • Experience supporting international markets, distributors, or complex fulfilment networks.

  • Experience working in a global or distributor-based commercial organisation.

  • Familiarity with CRM, ERP, order-management, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics environments.

  • Experience supporting product launches, lifecycle transitions, inventory allocation, or constrained-supply planning.

  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing operational team members.

  • Fluency in an additional European language.

If your experience does not match every point, we still encourage you to apply. We value transferable skills, different perspectives, and the potential to grow.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

You will join an international, high-tech MedTech environment where your work will directly influence product availability and operational performance across multiple markets.

You can expect stimulating work in an innovative field, meaningful autonomy, excellent working conditions, and the opportunity to collaborate with motivated colleagues across Tandem’s international organisation. You will also have the opportunity to shape scalable planning practices, strengthen team capabilities, and contribute to successful product launches and international growth.
