The Dental Center of South Bend (Adult Care) is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team! We’re seeking a dependable, patient-focused professional who enjoys working in a team environment and is passionate about helping patients receive excellent dental care.

Position Overview

As a Dental Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our dentists and clinical team while helping patients feel comfortable throughout their visits. You’ll assist with dental procedures, maintain a clean and organized treatment environment, and help ensure each patient has a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures and treatments.

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment.

• Take dental X-rays as needed.

• Maintain proper sterilization and infection control protocols.

• Help patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their appointments.

• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.

• Work closely with the dental team to support efficient office operations.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of hands-on dental assisting experience required.

• Current X-ray license required.

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) experience preferred.

• Strong communication and patient care skills.

• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and infection control procedures.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Friday: 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
