Dental Assistant

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Irwin, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Assist dentist in providing treatments to patients, which are complex, difficult, usually lengthy, and nonroutine in nature.

Receive and seat patient and conducts preliminary screening.

Set up instruments, equipment, and materials such as assembling syringes and IVs for anesthesia, and mixing materials for impressions and restorations.

Monitor patients during treatment and identifies signs of adverse reactions or medical concerns.

Relay dentist's instructions to patients for post-treatment care.
