Records information relayed by dentist into dental records and other forms for signature of dentist.

Receives and schedules patients for treatment.

Sterilizes instruments, materials, equipment, and prepares treatment and surgical trays.

Takes preliminary impressions in support of dental functions.

Aids in the training of trainees, students and less experienced dental assistants.
