Dental Assistant

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Stewart, Ga This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Prepare a variety of reports and records related to dental activities. Schedule appointments for treatment. Record proper documentation of patient information.

Sterilize instruments, materials, and equipment; prepare surgical trays. Maintain dental equipment in a clean and operative condition.

Take preliminary impressions; pour and trim models from impressions; and construct base plates and bite rims.

Relay dentist's instructions to patients for post-treatment care such as application of hot or cold packs or medications. Instruct lower graded dental assistants on these procedures as necessary.

Operate dental X-ray equipment to take intra and extraoral radiographs. Maintain, clean, and perform minor repairs on X-ray equipment and materials.

Assist dentist at chair side. Perform intra-oral procedures as directed by dentist.
