Dental AssistantThe Royal Flying Doctor Service WA (RFDS WA) is seeking experienced Dental Assistants to join our 2027 team on a casual FIFO basis, delivering essential dental services to rural and remote communities across Western Australia. This role supports both mobile and fixed-site dental clinics, helping improve access to oral healthcare for people facing geographical and socioeconomic barriers.About the role Assist in the delivery of emergency, preventative and general dental care services.Support dentists in fixed-site and mobile dental clinics.Provide oral health education and advice to patients.Support referrals for patients requiring specialist dental treatment.Maintain infection prevention and control standards within the dental clinic environment.Assist with patient administration and electronic patient record management.About you Available to work FIFO for a minimum of two weeks at a time.Certificate IV in Dental Assisting or equivalentMinimum of 5 years' experience in Dental AssistingKnowledge of infection control in dental clinic settingsExperience or interest in working with people in indigenous healthRemote area dental experience (desirable)Current driver’s licenseExcellent communication and teamwork skillsExperience with electronic patient record systemsAbout usThe Royal Flying Doctor Service WA (RFDS WA) supports more than 20,000 patients each year across the largest health jurisdiction in Australia.
