Description
General/Cosmetic Dentist, Associate or Successor: Kansas City, Missouri
Kansas City, MO | Full-Time, 4 Days per Week | Boutique Cosmetic and Family Practice | Equity Available | $275,000–$325,000 per Year
A boutique, cosmetic-forward practice where the doctor is the brand, and the founder is retiring. This small, doctor-led Kansas City office wants a full-time dentist to take a chair, lead alongside the remaining doctor and, if you want it, become the owner. It's not a DSO floor and not 30–40 patients a day. It's a relationship-driven patient base in an established neighborhood.
Two ways in
- Associate: a full-time clinical role in a small, cosmetic-focused private practice.
- Owner/successor: equity is available. The founder wants a leader who'll protect the patient base and reputation they built.
Start as an associate and talk ownership once both sides have seen the fit.
The work
- Comprehensive general dentistry with a cosmetic emphasis: esthetic restorative, veneers and smile design, crowns and whitening
- Everyday family care
- Bring the skills you have. The remaining doctor and the founder (through the transition) will discuss mentorship and case-selection standards.
The practice
- 6 operatories: 4 doctor ops and 2 hygiene ops
- After the founder retires: 2 dentists in the 4 doctor ops and 2 hygienists in the 2 hygiene ops, so no one is stacked on top of each other
- A boutique size: room to work, without a 15–20 op box or a 4-chair squeeze
Schedule
Four days: Tuesday 7:30 AM–2:30 PM, Wednesday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, Thursday 7:30 AM–2:30 PM, plus Monday or Friday 7:30 AM–2:30 PM. Closed weekends. Early-out days plus one later midweek shift give you a real week, not 50 hours of chair time.
What you need
- A Missouri dental license, or one in process
- Comfort in a small office and genuine interest in cosmetic and comprehensive care
- Openness to associate-only or to becoming the next owner, and someone the founder can trust with their patients and name
Compensation
$275,000–$325,000 per year, with equity available for the doctor who wants to own.
Why Kansas City
Established neighborhoods, a reasonable cost of living compared with the coasts and patients who will drive for a dentist they trust. It's an easy place to practice and, on the equity path, an easy place to own.
How to be considered
Apply and say whether you want associate-only, ownership, or to start as an associate and discuss equity after a visit.
