Description

Advanced General Dentist: Fort Payne, Alabama

Fort Payne, AL (Northeast Alabama) | Full-Time | Private Practice | $275,000–$325,000 per year

Step into a full schedule on day one. A large, doctor-led private practice in northeast Alabama wants a skilled general dentist who enjoys comprehensive dentistry. This is not a limited-scope associate seat and not a startup book. The rooms, the hygiene engine and the patients are already here.

Five hygienists in a 15-chair office tells the story: the restorative demand is already in the building, and this hire is here to treat it.

The work

  • Complex restorative and comprehensive treatment planning
  • Surgery and endodontics
  • Implants and implant restorations, as your training allows
  • Removable prosthetics
  • The full range of care a busy rural family practice needs

Mentorship and case-sharing are built in, with three general dentists already on site.

The practice

  • Doctor-led private practice, not a DSO
  • 18 operatories (15 equipped)
  • 3 general dentists and 5 hygienists
  • Dentrix, fully digital, CBCT on site
  • A large, established rural patient base drawn from across DeKalb County and the Lookout Mountain corridor

Who thrives here

  • Dentists who are comfortable being busy, or strong clinicians who want volume and breadth instead of a slow suburban ramp
  • Doctors who prefer comprehensive dentistry over "exams and fillings only"
  • Team players who like a multi-doctor, multi-hygienist office

This is not the right fit for someone who wants a light book at a 4-op boutique. The days are full and the work is real.

Why Fort Payne

Fort Payne is the county seat of DeKalb County and the gateway to Lookout Mountain, Little River Canyon and DeSoto State Park. The cost of living is well below Birmingham, Huntsville or Atlanta. Chattanooga is about an hour away and Huntsville roughly 90 minutes, so you can own a home, raise a family and still reach a real city and airport. In rural Alabama, a strong GP still gets to be the dentist: broad scope, loyal patients who stay for decades, and a schedule that stays full.

What you need

  • DDS or DMD
  • An Alabama dental license, or one in process
  • Confidence across advanced general dentistry

Compensation

$275,000–$325,000 per year through a competitive collections-based package for a full rural book. Details are reviewed with qualified candidates.

How to be considered

Apply with your CV and a short note covering your Alabama license status, the procedures you do routinely (endo, surgery, implants, dentures, sedation) and when you can start.

This is a confidential search. The practice name is shared after a brief screen, so please do not contact the practice directly.
