Pay

\:

HK$97,787 to HK$116,855 (HMPS point 9 to 14) per month including Monthly Allowance

[An additional Management Responsibility Allowance of HK$2,000 per month will be payable]

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities\:

1.

Develop departmental and operational policies.

2.

Provide administrative support to the Chief of Service at Kwong Wah Hospital.

3.

Carry out laboratory managerial duties including human resources management, prepare and monitor departmental plan and budget.

4.

Monitor operational activities within the department.

5.

Monitor the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of services.

6.

Plan and monitor new services.

7.

Co-ordinate responsibilities among team leaders in the department.

8.

Co-ordinate with other departments/units regarding supporting service requirements / plans and other operational issues.

9.

Provides support and guidance to staff, including their professional development and training.

10.

Participates and supports cluster services and development.

11.

Liaise with hospital governing board (Tung Wah Group Hospitals) on operational issues.

12.

Co-ordinate clinical training for students from academic institutions.

13.

Perform any other duties as assigned.

Entry Requirements\:

1.

MSc in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent; and

2.

Be a registered Part I (full registration) Medical Laboratory Technologist and have a valid Practicing Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance.

3.

At least 7 years’ experience in Medical Technologist rank.

Preferable Attributes/Exposure\:

1.

Strong leadership skills and possession of experience in leading teams, managing projects and service development.

2.

Possession of higher qualification in relevant profession / health care management.

3.

Excellent communication skills.

4.

Strong interest towards improving management system of department.

5.

Knowledge, expertise and experience in Laboratory Accreditation.
