Department Manager
· Provide quality leadership, knowledge, and skills to mailing services associates, creating a motivating work climate to achieve a teamwork environment
· Must be able to use good judgment when analyzing facts and solving problems and can make decisions in a timely manner
· Assist the Plant manager by ensuring that all mail quality assurance policies and procedures are always followed
· Monitor the overall performance of mail services including control of production capability and labor costs
· Schedule all services staff daily to meet production demands
· Provide necessary signoffs and approvals to all MS operators before beginning new jobs during the assigned shift
· Take appropriate corrective action to maximize performance
· Assist all MS staff with set-ups, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on equipment.
· Following up on all corrective action
· Report all mechanical problems or supply deficiencies to the appropriate support personnel and the Plant Manager
· Monitor all hourly/shift production counts and quality control checks to ensure that production targets are reached while maintaining the highest level of quality
· Coordinate with other production departments to ensure that all needed materials arrive in your department in a timely manner to meet scheduled tasks
· Coordinate all inbound and outbound material movement by giving clear and concise instructions to the department material handlers
· Proactive in alerting the Plant Manager to any potential issues that would negatively impact mailing schedules
· Actively participates in the continuous improvement process for quality control, productivity, and operating procedures
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment
· Requires ability to be present and available at scheduled times and locations as outlined in work schedule

Required Skills/Abilities:
· Exemplary associate status within the organization
· Excellent communication skills with basic computer skills
· Thorough and satisfactory knowledge of all relevant mail services processes, ink jetting, inserting, tabbing, affixing, folding, sorting etc.
· Thorough knowledge of the equipment used in Various Departments
· Very strong leadership skills and quality decision-making ability
· Must be able to take direction and communicate effectively with Plant Manager
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent
· 5 years of experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to consistently lift 50lbs
· Required to stand for long periods of time, bend, reach and move about the facility
· Required to grip twist and turn both hands for long periods of time
