Department Material Handler 1st Shift

Quanex is looking for a Department Material Handler - 1st shift to join our team in Owatonna, Minnesota!

1st shift hours are Monday – Thursday, 5:00am – 3:30pm.

In this role you are responsible for moving material within the plant and keeping designated work areas supplied with material using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

What Success Looks Like:

• Store materials in designated locations, ensuring they are properly organized and accessible.
• Pull, package and deliver materials for assigned production lines.
• Scan finished goods with RF scanner, verifying all information.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts and transactions in SAP.
• Participate in quality control checks and ensure materials meet the required specifications.
• Operate pallet jacks to move materials to specific workstation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

What You Bring:

• Strong communications skills to partner with team
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Experience in moving material to workstations is preferred
• Experience operating pallet jacks preferred

The hourly wage for this position is $19.50 per hour.
