Depot Service Technician
Summary
Repair and troubleshoot MAKO robotic systems and components, inspecting electro-mechanical assemblies and ensuring compliance with quality standards in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday to Friday start time between 6:30am and 7:30am
Overtime based on business needs
What you will do -
- Perform testing and troubleshooting on MAKO robotic systems and components
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair electro-mechanical equipment and assemblies
- Support refurbishment and repair of robotic parts for field operations
- Test motors, encoders, brakes, instruments, and other robotic components
- Assist with continuous improvement of service procedures and technical documentation
- Partner with manufacturing and service engineers on repairs and process enhancements
- Complete a variety of technical and operational tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, work instructions, and FDA regulations
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail while performing inspections and testing
- Participate in ongoing technical training and development programs to build robotic repair expertise
What you need -
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of professional experience
- Ability to lift or maneuver up to 65 pounds
- Experience operating hand tools and power tools
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel)
Preferred
- Associates or Bachelors degree
- At least 2 years of experience with conducting mechanical troubleshooting and reading/following work instructions
- Experience with: soldering, pinning & crimping, ESD handling/knowledge & electrical circuit testing, transmission cabling, system testing & system troubleshooting
- Experience utilizing software systems such as inventory tracking software, Trackwise, Windchill OnePLM, and/or SAP
