Summary

Oversee Singapore’s cross-border payment linkages and policy frameworks, collaborating with regulators and financial institutions to expand digital payment solutions and regional connectivity.

[What the role is]

You will be part of a dynamic team that will drive the next generation of digital payment solutions and enhancement to Singapore’s national payment schemes through cross-border payments linkages with bilateral and multilateral partners, cementing Singapore’s position as a leader in shaping the regional payments landscape.

[What you will be working on]

  • Cross-Border Payment Linkages — You will work with financial institutions, foreign regulators and international organisations to manage and expand Singapore’s cross-border payments connectivity network, ensuring their effective operation and continued development. This includes Singapore’s participation in Project Nexus, a multilateral cross-border payments connectivity project, where you will collaborate with internal teams and industry stakeholders on scheme governance, implementation and product development to support its go-to-market.

  • Policy and Governance — You will develop and refine relevant policies and frameworks for the governance and risk management of Singapore's cross-border linkages, including ongoing administration and scheme management.

  • Partnerships —You will build and maintain strategic relationships with key payment firms, foreign regulatory counterparts, and international agencies, with a focus on advancing cross-border payment initiatives and joint projects.

[What we are looking for]

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, finance, technology or related field

Experience

  • Relevant experience in payments product development, public policy or payments regulations

  • Experience in transactional banking or payments or in developing and launching new financial products or services will be advantageous

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of local and international payments systems and infrastructure, local and regional payments ecosystem and regulations

  • Effective communication skills and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to positively influence across all levels of internal and external stakeholders

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and needs of stakeholders, as well as the agility to respond to changes and developments.
