DEPUTY BASE CIVIL ENGINEER

Serves as the Deputy Base Civil Engineer at an Air Force or Joint Base installation with responsibility for providing, operating, and maintaining highly complex infrastructure and facilities. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. With the BCE, directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors. Makes a periodic, comprehensive assessment and evaluation of program goals/objectives which provide a basis for long-range planning to enhance the organization's management support capabilities. Represents the CE Squadron with a variety of installation organizations and outside agencies. The assigned program(s) are often characterized by unusual managerial complexities and demands, as well as substantial uncertainties and risk.
