Deputy Chief of Finance (Real Estate)

Oversee finance operations for a real-estate investment firm, including accounting, treasury, tax, compliance, and investor reporting while supporting acquisitions and financing activities.
The Deputy Chief of Finance supports and overseeing the organization's finance function, ensuring robust financial governance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across the business. The role partners closely with senior management, investors, lenders, and external advisors to support the firm's investment and growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the overall financial management, accounting, treasury, tax, compliance, and corporate governance functions.
- Oversee financial reporting, fund and asset-level accounting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and tax requirements, working closely with external auditors, fund administrators, and advisors.
- Support acquisitions, divestments, financing activities, loan negotiations, and ongoing debt covenant compliance.
- Monitor portfolio liquidity, capital deployment, and financial risks across investment vehicles.
- Oversee investor reporting, distribution processes, and financial communications with investors, lenders, and the Board.
- Lead and mentor the finance team while driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Min 8-12 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within private equity, real estate investment, fund management, or investment platforms.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, treasury, financing, fund operations, and regulatory compliance.
- Commercially astute, hands-on leader with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
