Deputy Data Protection Officer (Manager)
About the Role
To drive and safeguard data protection compliance across Parkway Hospitals' operations, ensuring adherence to all applicable legislations (including PDPA, HCSA and HIA), in order to protect patient trust and minimise the organisation's regulatory and reputational risks.
Key Accountabilities:
- Drive Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new healthcare and internal systems, AI models and clinical workflows.
- Oversee IT's transition away from NRIC-based authentication ahead of the regulatory deadline.
- Operationalise the data breach response plan (C.A.R.E. framework) and manage MOH/PDPC reporting deadlines.
- Manage healthcare consent models and handle patient rights requests (access, correction, withdrawal).
- Administer mandatory privacy hygiene training for clinical and administrative staff.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Law or relevant field
- Has at least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in data privacy and/or legal compliance, and data breach incident management skills
- Has at least one IAPP certification (CIPM, CIPP, CIPT) or equivalent privacy credential
- Equipped with Level 3/Level 4 competency under the DPO Competency Framework and Training Roadmap
- Strong working knowledge of PDPA and familiarity with the HCSA and HIA
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
