Deputy Designated Person Ashore
- Support the
implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Company's
Integrated Management System (IMS), including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO
45001.
- Monitor and ensure
compliance with ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, Flag State, Class, and other
applicable maritime regulations.
- Plan, coordinate, and
participate in internal and external audits, vessel inspections, emergency
drills, and management reviews.
- Investigate
incidents, non-conformities, and near misses, ensuring effective root cause
analysis and timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor vessel
safety, quality, environmental, and operational performance, providing
recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support risk
assessments, emergency preparedness, permit-to-work compliance, and safety
initiatives across the fleet.
- Coordinate responses
to marine incidents and provide shore-based support during emergencies.
- Monitor regulatory
updates and ensure timely communication and implementation across the
organization.
- Assess crew
compliance with safety procedures, emergency preparedness, and company
management systems, providing guidance where required.
- Prepare reports,
maintain HSEQ documentation, and present performance updates to management.
- Act as the alternate
Designated Person Ashore (DPA), providing direct support to vessel operations
and ensuring effective communication between ship and shore.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- A degree or
diploma in a Maritime related course
- A minimum of
3 years of relevant experience on a similar role is required.
- Knowledge of
the Maritime industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of
regulations and standards guiding the maritime industry is a plus
- Knowledge of
inspections, audits
- Good
interpersonal and communication skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office
suite
- Good commercial awareness of the shipping
industry and the operations of a vessel
