Deputy Designated Person Ashore

Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Company's Integrated Management System (IMS), including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Monitor and ensure compliance with ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, Flag State, Class, and other applicable maritime regulations.
Plan, coordinate, and participate in internal and external audits, vessel inspections, emergency drills, and management reviews.
Investigate incidents, non-conformities, and near misses, ensuring effective root cause analysis and timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor vessel safety, quality, environmental, and operational performance, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
Support risk assessments, emergency preparedness, permit-to-work compliance, and safety initiatives across the fleet.
Coordinate responses to marine incidents and provide shore-based support during emergencies.
Monitor regulatory updates and ensure timely communication and implementation across the organization.
Assess crew compliance with safety procedures, emergency preparedness, and company management systems, providing guidance where required.
Prepare reports, maintain HSEQ documentation, and present performance updates to management.
Act as the alternate Designated Person Ashore (DPA), providing direct support to vessel operations and ensuring effective communication between ship and shore.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

A degree or diploma in a Maritime related course
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience on a similar role is required.
Knowledge of the Maritime industry is an advantage.
Knowledge of regulations and standards guiding the maritime industry is a plus
Knowledge of inspections, audits
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft office suite
Good commercial awareness of the shipping industry and the operations of a vessel
