Deputy General Manager - O&M (Solar)

Accountabilities	Major Activities
Drive asset management for assigned assets ensuring smooth functioning and performance as per defined business plan	Facilitate smooth transfer of asset from Construction team to Asset O&M team, once projects are commissioned or acquired. Drive on-site implementation of defined systems, policies, and procedures for effective asset management in line with the best practices. Drive all activities pertaining to Asset management, Dispatch Management (incl. F&S), Performance Management, Availability management, HSSE compliance and Knowledge management as per defined norms and guidelines. Pursue resolution of all RoW (Right of Way) issues including legacy issues with the support of the Apraava legal team by providing first-hand information w.r.t local RoW issues and engage with local stakeholders / district and state authorities/ Police / regulatory authorities / contractor. Engage with O&M contractors to ensure they honor contracts and are aligned with Apraava Energy’s policies, procedures and expectations related to quality and safety as well as laws and norms related to industrial labor. Prepare detailed RCA for repeated breakdowns and take preventive actions. Conceptualize the solutions that would improve productivity from the asset. Ensure all energy sale invoices are raised as per schedule and are compliant to terms and conditions of the PPA, driving timely and accurate revenue realization; Interact with internal / external stakeholders to resolve any issues related to payment and billing. Support audits w.r.t O&M and HSSE systems completion based on defined timelines. Maintain relationships with Government bodies and facilitate periodic site visits by inspectors & environmental authorities to ensure smooth commissioning of projects.
Monitor compliance with all HSSE parameters and policies across the assigned asset to drive required standards at work, ensuring smooth plant operations with zero instances of non-compliance	Ensure compliance to HSSE norms and guidelines for all asset activities, Highlight cases of non-compliance to Partner Asset Manager and Regional Asset Manager Drive a culture of concern for environment and safety across wind and solar assets by providing HSSE training, exposure and information on risk management to all personnel (including contractors and subcontractors)
Procurement of Spares & Services for O&M	Standardize list for spares, tools & tackles and consumables required for the asset. Ensure timely procurement of spares & services to meet the O & M plan for the asset. Manage inventory management. Provide technical scope of work document for service contract, approach note for high value purchases along with PR’s.
Statutory and Regulatory compliances	Ensure all state & central statutory and regulatory compliances applicable for the asset are in place as per the guidelines. Coordination with Forecasting Agency / QCA for timely revision/submission of schedules and minimization of DSM errors and achieve highest energy accuracy.

Educational Qualifications

Mandatory Qualification: Diploma, B.E/B.Tech (Electrical/Electronics)

Functional Skills

Expertise in handling operations/key processes of a Wind / Solar Asset Planning and analytical skills, ability to take a long-term perspective. People Management Mentoring & Coaching skills Ability to lead a team & manage OEM staff and sub-contractor staff. Negotiation skills 13+ years of overall experience (Wind / Solar Industry) in O&M of Large-scale Power Plant Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
