Deputy Geotechnical Design Manager
Summary
Oversee geotechnical engineering designs, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with regulations and client needs using AutoCAD and Plaxis.
- Assist Design Manager in Managing a design team.
- Lead, develop and provide training to junior engineers.
- Understand and manage client requirements.
- Liaise with external stakeholders on technical proposal for the projects.
- Ensure designs complies with regulation, engineering codes, standards and practices.
- Review designs and ensure they are delivered in a timely manner.
- Investigate incidents with technical issues.
- Review project closing report with internal stakeholders and develop improvements for future risk mitigation.
- Participate in engineering societies and contribute technical papers for conferences.
- Participate in global expertise groups.
- Design "Design & Build" solutions, including solutions for ground improvement where relevant.
- Provide technical marketing of solutions to clients and consultants.
- Conduct regular site visits to train and create buy-in from site personnel, as well as to promote quality and good practices.
You will need:
- A PEB-recognised degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- At least 10 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, Plaxis 2D and Plaxis 3D
