Deputy Head, Human Resources
Location: Surulere, Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Support the Head of Human Resources in developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with the organization's business objectives.
Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure the organization attracts and retains high-quality talent.
Coordinate performance management processes and provide guidance to managers on employee performance improvement initiatives.
Lead employee relations activities, including grievance handling, disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, and investigations in accordance with company policies and labour laws.
Monitor staff attendance, productivity, and compliance with organizational policies across all branches.
Coordinate learning and development initiatives to improve employee competence, leadership capability, and overall organizational performance.
Support succession planning, talent management, and leadership development initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all statutory employment regulations and internal HR policies.
Prepare periodic HR reports, workforce analytics, and strategic recommendations for Executive Management.
Work closely with Operations, Finance, Audit, and other departments to support business growth and operational excellence.
Drive employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive work culture and improve staff retention.
Supervise the Human Resources team and provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to ensure high departmental effectiveness.
Perform any other HR-related responsibilities as may be assigned by Executive Management.
Requirements
Minimum of 8–10 years' cognate experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a senior HR management position within the retail, FMCG, banking, hospitality, or any other structured organization.
Minimum of B.Sc./HND in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or any related discipline.
Possession of relevant professional certifications such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or CIPD will be a strong advantage.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Laws, HR best practices, and employment regulations.
Demonstrated experience in recruitment and selection, performance management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits administration, disciplinary procedures, and organizational development.
Excellent leadership, coaching, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 per month.
