Deputy Manager - Actuarial (Immediate Joiner) Remote

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Deputy Manager – Actuarial with experience in the Life and Annuity insurance domain. The ideal candidate should possess a strong actuarial foundation combined with hands-on programming and data analysis skills to support actuarial modeling, valuation, pricing, reporting, and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support actuarial valuation, pricing, product development, and financial reporting activities for Life and Annuity products.
  • Analyze, validate, and transform large volumes of actuarial and policy data.
  • Develop and maintain data processing, automation, and reporting solutions using Python, R, SQL, and VBA.
  • Work closely with actuarial, technology, and business teams to implement and enhance actuarial models and processes.
  • Perform data quality checks, reconciliations, and analytical reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in model validation, testing, documentation, and process improvements.
  • Prepare actuarial reports, management information, and regulatory deliverables as required.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement through automation and best practices.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of Life Insurance and Annuity products and actuarial concepts.
  • Hands-on experience in data manipulation and analysis using:o Python/R/SQL/VBA
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and build automated solutions.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with MG-ALFA (Milliman MG-ALFA) actuarial modeling software will be a strong advantage.
  • Exposure to actuarial valuation systems, financial reporting, or modeling platforms
  • Familiarity with insurance regulatory and reporting requirements.

Experience:

  • 4–8 years of relevant experience in the Life Insurance and Annuity domain.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or an equivalent quantitative discipline.
  • Candidates must have successfully completed a minimum of two actuarial examinations from a recognized actuarial body such as the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI), Society of Actuaries (SOA),Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), or an equivalent international actuarial institute.
