Deputy Manager, Production Center (Overseas Custom Factory Management)
Key Responsibilities
Business Management
1. Identify and Evaluate Overseas Contract Manufacturing Partners
- Conduct market research on lubricant manufacturing facilities across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
- Evaluate potential contract manufacturers based on production capabilities, operational standards, certifications, and Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) performance.
- Recommend suitable manufacturing partners to support business requirements.
2. Supplier Qualification and Contract Manufacturing Management
- Assess contract manufacturing proposals based on cost, delivery performance, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and tender activities where applicable.
- Manage supplier onboarding, including confidentiality agreements, product verification, label approval, and contract execution.
- Support the implementation of new contract manufacturing projects.
3. Business Development and Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to expand contract manufacturing capabilities, including new product categories and packaging formats.
- Coordinate product validation, label updates, and contract renewals.
- Review and improve manufacturing and operational processes to enhance efficiency and service quality.
4. Business Planning and Operations
- Develop annual business plans and objectives for overseas contract manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate the execution of business plans and monitor project progress.
- Prepare operational reports and business performance updates.
- Manage day-to-day coordination with internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners.
Risk Management
- Develop and maintain quality inspection standards for raw materials and finished products used in contract manufacturing.
- Establish technical requirements covering packaging, warehousing, logistics, and product quality.
- Monitor operational risks and implement appropriate controls throughout the manufacturing process.
- Standardize supplier qualification, order management, and commercial approval processes to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Comply with the Company's Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote workplace safety and support continuous improvement in HSE performance across contract manufacturing operations.
Other Responsibilities
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental and organisational objectives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Master's Degree or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in lubricants and grease manufacturing, production operations, technical services, quality management, contract manufacturing, OEM operations, or related industries.
- Experience in supplier management, contract manufacturing, OEM/ODM operations, or international manufacturing projects is preferred.
- Strong analytical, project management, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Professional certification or relevant engineering/economics qualification will be an advantage.
