Deputy Manager, Settlements - Private Bank
A regional bank is hiring for a Private Banking Operations Deputy Manager to support its end-to-end operational activities across private banking products. The role will have a strong focus on settlements, payments, reconciliations and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end trade processing, including booking, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation and exception management.
- Support the processing of private banking products, which may include bonds, equities, mutual funds, structured products, structured deposits and private equity funds.
- Perform cash, position and transaction reconciliations and investigate settlement discrepancies or breaks.
- Process deposits, remittances, asset transfers and SWIFT payments.
- Support corporate action processing, including client elections and entitlement monitoring.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, custodians, brokers and fund houses to resolve operational matters.
- Participate in system enhancements, UAT and change initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce operational risks.
- Generate trade advices, account statements and periodic operational reports.
- Support ad hoc projects and other operational initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant banking operations experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in settlements and reconciliations, preferably involving private banking or wealth management products.
- Experience in remittances, payments or SWIFT processing.
- Practical knowledge of Avaloq is required.
- Prior involvement in UAT, system enhancements or change initiatives.
- Experience supporting process improvement or workflow-streamlining initiatives.
