Deputy Program Manager (Job ID: 4223)
NewBe an early applicant- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a full-time Deputy Program Manager to oversee the requirements of the Statement of Work (SOW), in Wallops Island, VA.
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring progress and for intervention and problem solving.
- Integrates all functions and activities necessary to perform the project/program to meet customer requirements.
- Directs personnel, manages cost, schedules, ensures contract compliance and serves as customer interface.
- Monitors project to ensure scope of work, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
- Variables in determining contract complexity include technology used, schedule requirements, cost, contract complexity, risk, number and complexity of subcontractors, and customer complexity.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline and at least 3 years of experience managing a large technical effort, similar in size and scope of this effort.
- Must have at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in managing large projects including ability to plan, develop schedules, organize, and coordinate team members to accomplish assigned tasks; demonstrated experience specifically directed to combat systems facilities related to Aegis, Aegis BMD, or SSDS weapon and combat systems and technology development, work breakdown structures, spending plans, and financial tracking.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Prefer an Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Occasional travel up to 25%.
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. - Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
