Senior Front-End Software Engineer (React, TDD, Cypress)

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience in Front-End Software Engineering.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience building applications with React.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of modern Front-End architecture and development best practices.
• Experience designing and developing reusable, scalable, and maintainable UI components.
• Strong knowledge of React Hooks, component lifecycle, state management, and performance optimization.
• Experience building responsive and cross-browser compatible applications.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, Promises, async/await, closures, scope, and execution context.
• Experience participating in code reviews and maintaining high code quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Testing & Quality Engineering:

• Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience writing Unit, Integration, and End-to-End tests.
• Strong experience with Jest and/or Vitest.
• Experience with React Testing Library.
• Experience implementing mocking strategies and dependency isolation.
• Experience maintaining meaningful test coverage and test reliability.
• Strong understanding of quality-first engineering practices.
• Experience using Cypress for End-to-End testing automation.
• Experience with network interception, fixtures, debugging, and stable selector strategies.

Accessibility:

• Strong understanding of WCAG accessibility standards.
• Experience developing accessible user interfaces using Semantic HTML.
• Knowledge of keyboard navigation, focus management, and screen reader compatibility.
• Experience implementing ARIA attributes and accessibility best practices.
• Passion for creating inclusive and accessible digital experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience mentoring junior or mid-level engineers.
• Experience leading Front-End initiatives or technical discussions.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality gates.
• Experience improving existing codebases and reducing technical debt.
• Experience working closely with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of Playwright testing framework.
• Passion for software quality, developer experience, and engineering excellence.
