This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor(a) Web - Backend based in Brazil.
This is an opportunity for a backend developer to build and evolve Web and Mobile applications within a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
You will contribute to projects where technical quality is balanced with product needs, business impact, and user value.
The role encourages ownership, proactive problem-solving, and a broad understanding of how backend systems interact with databases, front-end applications, and network layers.
You will work with technologies such as PHP, Golang, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
There is also room to explore cloud, containers, automation, microservices, and scalable architectures.

Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain Web and Mobile backend applications, delivering solutions that address real product and business needs.
- Work with technologies such as PHP, Golang, and Node.js, with the opportunity to expand expertise across the technology stack.
- Design and implement backend solutions using frameworks such as Symfony and Laravel where applicable.
- Work with relational databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL, ORMs, and non-relational databases.
- Apply engineering practices such as TDD, Clean Code, Design Patterns, and structured Git workflows.
- Participate in code reviews, branching strategies, pull requests, issue management, and collaborative development processes.
- Consider the interaction between backend services, front-end applications, databases, network layers, and overall application performance.
- Analyze technical challenges and proactively identify opportunities to improve tools, processes, architecture, and development practices.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and tools, bringing relevant innovations that can be applied to ongoing projects.
- Contribute to scalable architectures, including microservices and hexagonal architecture, when appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical decisions support sustainable product and business outcomes.
- Professional knowledge of at least one of the following languages, with an interest in learning and developing across the others:
- PHP 7.2+, preferably with experience in Symfony and/or Laravel.
- Golang.
- Node.js.
- Experience with Git and GitHub workflows, including branching, issues, and pull requests.
- Experience with at least one relational database such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with ORMs and NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of TDD, Clean Code, and Design Patterns.
- Basic knowledge of HTML and template engines, such as Twig or Blade.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to understand the broader impact of technical decisions.
- Proactive, organized, and disciplined approach to development.
- Strong ownership mindset and accountability for the quality of delivered work.
- Collaborative communication style and willingness to participate in constructive technical discussions.
- Curiosity and motivation to continuously learn new technologies and development practices.
- Basic Bash scripting knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with Docker, virtualization, AWS services such as EC2 and S3, command-line tools, cloud platforms, code analysis, automation, and CI is desirable.
- Experience designing horizontally scalable microservices and/or hexagonal architecture is an advantage.
