Design Coordination Engineer (Civil Engineering)
Summary
Coordinates civil-engineering shop drawings with consultants and authorities, resolves design issues, and supervises BIM modelers for a Grade A1 contractor.
Our client is in construction industry (Grade A1 Contractor/ Class 1 General Builder) and they provide full suite of integrated construction services and solutions in both the public and private sectors.
JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE)
- Coordinate design drawings with consultants to comply with requirements of the authorities.
- Review and provide solutions to technical problems as well as plan, monitor and report shop drawing production progress.
- Prepare technical submissions for materials, construction methods and C&S shop drawings.
- Resolve construction issues on drawings and liaise closely with Architectural and M&E teams as well as the authorities.
- Supervise a team of BIM Modelers for the production of coordinated shop drawings and Concrete Body Plans
REQUIREMENT
- Possess Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering with relevant design working experience with contractors
- Preferably a Professional Engineer registered with the Professional Engineers (PE) Board, Singapore
- At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Be conversant in British and Singapore Design Standards
- Be independent, analytical, highly motivated with excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills
