A leading global data‑centre developer is hiring a Design Director to drive the technical design of major, multi‑phase campuses across Spain. This is a senior client‑side role shaping next‑generation hyperscale and AI/HPC infrastructure.
What You’ll Lead
- End‑to‑end design management across feasibility, master planning, detailed design and delivery.
- Technical oversight of architectural, civil, structural, MEP, controls, security and ICT design.
- Electrical & cooling strategy for high‑density, AI/HPC‑ready environments.
- Power & utility coordination including HV/MV concepts, grid interfaces and campus distribution.
- Permitting & compliance with Spanish/EU regulations and planning requirements.
- Sustainability targets including PUE/WUE optimisation and renewable‑energy integration.
- Consultant & contractor management across multidisciplinary international teams.
- Construction & commissioning support ensuring design intent is maintained through delivery.
What You Bring
- 12–15+ years in mission‑critical or data‑centre design.
- Strong MEP and critical‑infrastructure expertise.
- Experience delivering large‑scale DCs from concept to commissioning.
- Background with developers, operators, PMCs or major DC contractors.
- Fluent English; Spanish beneficial.
