Design Drafter-Precast

1. Produce precast concrete structures designs and detailing using AutoCAD and Stack-it.
2. Create submittal packages, proposal drawings and production drawing sets.
3. Provide continual improvement suggestions as part of a collaborative team.
4. All other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities

• Proficient in the use of Autodesk products (Revit, Inventor 3D, AutoCAD 2D).
• Understanding of drafting standards & principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (formulas, hyperlinks, sorting and searching data).
• Must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision
• Working knowledge of mathematical concepts (trigonometry, calculate volumes, slopes, weights, unit conversions, simple load calculations, metric equivalents, drawing scales).
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of precast concrete design a plus.
• Desire to continue to grow and develop.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Degree in Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, or similar degree is a plus.
• 0 - 2 years’ drafting experience in manufacturing or construction industry
