Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Design Draftsman to prepare accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for engineering projects. The role involves creating production and assembly drawings, supporting project submissions, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality technical documentation using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.

Key Responsibility

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor based on project specifications, technical requirements, and engineering calculations.
• Produce fabrication, assembly, and detailed production drawings in accordance with project and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Engineers, Project Engineers, and Project Managers to develop drawings for client submissions and project execution.
• Revise and update drawings promptly based on design changes, client feedback, or engineering requirements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with client, consultant, and company drafting standards, including prescribed title blocks and documentation formats.
• Perform necessary engineering calculations to support drawing development and design accuracy.
• Maintain proper drawing control and document management practices.
• Ensure timely completion and submission of drawings in accordance with project schedules.
• Support project teams in resolving technical drafting issues during design, fabrication, and installation stages.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Certificate in AutoCAD.
• Certificate in Autodesk Inventor will be an advantage.

Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant drafting experience in mechanical engineering, industrial projects, or related industries.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge of power generation systems and associated equipment is advantageous.
• Knowledge of fuel piping systems and related engineering standards is preferred.
