Design Engineer (CAD), Physical AI
Antomation is a hardware AI lab in Singapore. We design the hardware, the software, and the AI models together, to solve problems that have resisted automation for decades. If the machine that solves it does not exist yet, we build it.
This is not integration work and it is not off-the-shelf equipment. Every project starts with a problem nobody has cracked, and ends with a machine that sees, judges, and acts on its own.
Your role
- Design the hardware in CAD (SolidWorks / Onshape): mechanisms, grippers, fixtures, frames, test rigs
- 3D print your designs in-house and test them the same day
- Produce manufacturing drawings with proper tolerances and GD&T
- Build, test, and revise what you designed, in our own lab
- Work next to the people writing the software and training the models that run on your hardware
You will also learn AI
How AI is used in design, how vision and sensor models work inside our machines, and how to build models from scratch: data, training, and getting them running on the device.
We are looking for
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Robotics. Graduated and available to start full time.
- Good CAD skills. SolidWorks, Onshape, Fusion, Creo, Inventor, it does not matter which one you learned. What matters is that you can model a real assembly properly.
- Hands-on instincts. Show us something you made.
- Interest in AI. No experience needed.
We offer
A small team, hard problems, in-house 3D printing, mentoring from senior engineers, and patents with your name on them.
Location: Singapore, our lab in Ang Mo Kio and customer sites.
