Design Engineer (Civil & Structural)
Job Summary
Design Engineer (Civil & Structural) responsible for performing structural design and analysis for Good Class Bungalows, ensuring efficient, economical solutions while collaborating with clients and project teams to deliver quality engineering outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform civil and structural engineering design for Good Class Bungalows to meet project requirements and deliver safe, compliant structures
- Analyze structural components using engineering software to verify safety and regulatory compliance
- Apply BS/EU codes of practice in structural design to ensure adherence to industry standards for bungalow projects
- Develop efficient and economical structural concept designs to optimize resource use and project cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors in meetings to align project objectives and engineering solutions
- Report project progress and technical findings clearly to Project Director and management for informed decision-making
Required competencies and certifications
- Possess a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
- Demonstrate at least 1 year of relevant working experience in civil/structural engineering design
- Familiarity with local design standards and codes to ensure regulatory compliance
- Proficient in structural design software such as Tekla Tedds, Staad, Plaxis, Esteem, Midas, and GStarCAD
