Design Engineer

Design & Engineering

• Review contract documents and project specifications to identify engineering requirements and scope of work.
• Prepare preliminary and base design drawings, including\:
  • Main Single Line Diagram (SLD)
  • Revenue Metering (R&M) SLD
  • Interlocking Philosophy and Schematics
  • DC System Diagrams
  • AC System Diagrams
  • Protection and Control Schematics
• Perform design calculations for\:
  • DC System Packages
  • AC Auxiliary Systems
  • CT Verification
  • VT Verification
  • Battery Sizing and Load Calculations
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings for protection and control panels.
• Develop panel wiring diagrams, terminal arrangements, cable schedules, and associated documentation.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) for protection and control panels.
• Develop LV control cables BOQs and cable schedules.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers regarding technical submittals, drawings, and engineering requirements.
• Follow up on engineering deliverables and vendor documentation.
• Participate in technical meetings with suppliers, clients, and internal departments.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Project Teams to ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs.

Testing & Commissioning Support

• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and support the review of testing reports.
• Assist in resolving technical issues identified during manufacturing, FAT, commissioning, or project execution phases.

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure proper coding and document numbering in accordance with project and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and ensure timely submission of project deliverables.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, client specifications, and quality requirements.
