JOB DESCRIPTION: Design Engineer

Energetix Pte Ltd is a specialist solar PV system integrator. We design, engineer, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic systems for commercial and industrial building owners, solar power investors, and utility companies. We are a growing company with a cross-culturalteam of people who are passionate about the solar industry. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare AutoCAD drawings for projects, including single-line diagrams and layouts
  • Prepare 3D modelling & shading analysis using SketchUp Pro or Skelion software
  • Provide design for electrical layout including single-line diagrams, interconnection details, wiring & block diagrams
  • Provide design for system structure, including mounting method & components
  • Prepare structural calculations for wind load and structural load
  • Calculate DC/AC cable voltage drop, DC/AC cable sizing, overcurrent protection & trunking sizing in compliance with code and industry best practice
  • Prepare and estimate project bill of material
  • Create detailed construction drawings for the installation team to follow, and as-builts for necessary submissions
  • Understand the optimal design applications and design limitations of our standard solutions, and work towards continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Skilled in AutoCAD
  • Strong organisational, follow-through and communication skills – must be dependable, proactive and prompt
  • High degree of professionalism and strong work ethics
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Independent, self-motivated, committed, and results-driven, while able to work in a team
  • At least 2 years of drafting experience, ideally in electrical or solar PV systems
