Design Engineer (Engineer in Training) Water/Wastewater
As a high-growth firm, Wilson Engineers offers the opportunity to work on impactful and technically challenging projects alongside a talented and passionate team. We are currently seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater EIT Design Engineer join our Tempe, Arizona office.
- Support project delivery by coordinating schedules, budgets, project documentation, and client communications throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress, track team deliverables, and help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Assist Project Managers in preparing engineering studies, technical reports, contract documents, specifications, and project drawings.
- Develop engineering designs using sound engineering principles and industry-standard software, including AutoCAD.
- Perform code research and ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and quality control procedures.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and day-to-day support to engineering team members to promote high-quality project execution.
- Review project deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to final submission.
- Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering (degrees in other fields WILL NOT be considered); Masters degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering is a plus, but not required (again, degrees in any other field WILL NOT be considered)
- Possess a strong desire for a career working in the Water and Wastewater field (including the design of treatment facilities, collection systems, booster and pump stations, water, reclaimed water, and wastewater master plans).
- Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
- Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history
- Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD platforms
