Design Engineer (R&D)
Drive the development of automated equipment and systems to meet performance, productivity and safety requirements.
Advise project teams on automation concepts and resolve technical design challenges.
Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their feasibility for improving equipment and processes.
Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical, control, electronic and software elements into production operations.
Develop and manage project proposals for new products and customer enquiries.
Lead assigned programmes, keeping delivery aligned with business priorities.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design or a related discipline.
At least 2 years of experience in mechanical design, machine automation or a related field.
Proficient in SolidWorks, Creo, NX or similar design software.
Experience designing mechanical systems, machine components, medical devices and automation equipment.
Knowledge of PLC programming, robotics and control systems.
