Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Design Engineer to develop engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. The role involves supporting projects involving Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Electrical systems, coordinating with the parent company in Europe, and collaborating with consultants, contractors, architects, customers, and internal teams. The successful candidate will provide technical support for sales and project execution, participate in regional engineering discussions, and ensure all designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements while working effectively both independently and within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop engineering designs, drawings, and technical documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Support project design involving Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Electrical systems.
- Coordinate and communicate with the parent company in Europe on design and technical matters.
- Liaise with consultants, architects, contractors, and customers regarding design requirements and project coordination.
- Provide technical support to the sales and project teams.
- Participate in intercompany design discussions and engineering coordination across SEA projects.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment while also being capable of handling assigned tasks independently.
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related engineering disciplines.
- Skilled and experienced in SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.
- Knowledge in Mechanical, Hydraulic, and/or Electrical design.
- Candidates possessing experience in any two of the above disciplines will have an added advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Able to work independently and correspond professionally with consultants, architects, and external parties.
- Willing to learn and work in a multinational team environment.
