Job Description
Job Summary: The Design / Engineering – Manager is responsible for overseeing / managing all design / engineering activities related to construction of flow line works. This role involves close co-ordination with the Engineering contractor, Client , Project manager, QHSE team , planning team , materials department and other stakeholder for smooth operation/handover of the project on time, within budget, and as per project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of design engineers / designer’s in the development of design packages for pipeline / flowline designs for onshore projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met within the specified scope, schedule, and budget.
- Oversee and guide the design of pipeline and flowline systems, including hydraulic calculations, material selection, route optimization, structural integrity, and system compatibility.
- Ensure designs adhere to local, national, and international regulations, including safety standards, environmental requirements, and industry codes (e.g., ASME, API, etc.).
- Ensure that designs meet quality standards, and that all documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and delivered on time.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project expectations and address design concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the design and construction of pipelines and flowlines within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is must.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of GCC experience.
- Deep understanding of pipeline design, flowline systems, and related infrastructure., Strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
- Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, PDS, PDMS, Caesar II, or similar tools.
- Experience in hydraulic analysis, stress analysis, and material selection for pipeline design.
