Design & Estimation Engineer (Panel Boards)
The Design & Estimation Engineer – Panel Boards will be responsible for designing, costing, and developing electrical panel board solutions for a variety of projects. The role involves preparing accurate designs and estimations for low-voltage panel boards while ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and project requirements. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, panel board manufacturing, and estimation processes, along with the ability to support tendering and project execution activities.
Responsibilities:
• Design LV electrical panel boards, including MDBs, SMDBs, DBs, MCCs, capacitor banks, and control panels.
• Prepare single-line diagrams, panel layouts, GA drawings, and technical documentation.
• Review project specifications, tender documents, and customer requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, quotations, and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain technical and commercial information.
• Support sales and project teams with technical clarifications during the bidding process.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable electrical standards and client requirements.
• Assist with project execution, technical submittals, and engineering documentation as required.
Candidate profile:
• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in electrical panel board design and estimation.
• Sound knowledge of LV switchgear, protection systems, and panel board manufacturing.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
