WHAT IS THE JOB?
As the Design Intern, you will work closely with the SM & AM Design teams to assist with tasks related to the entire product development lifecycle. You will help coordinate, track, and organize product samples, input/update tech packs within our PLM system, and assist with the daily needs/responsibilities of the design department. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.
WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?
- Prepping samples (measuring, inspecting, pressing).
- Assisting with prep for presentations (pulling samples, steaming samples, help with pulling together boards, etc.).
- Helping to organize sample library (by style category).
- Work within our PLM system to assist in updating tech packs, specs, & trims.
- Prepping Design Boards.
- Organizing Files.
- Sample Coordination.
- Assisting with product quality issue remediation.
WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIALS?
- Technical Skills - must be able to measure garments in both imperial & metric.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Must be fluent in English and proficient in written and oral communication.
- Humble, Motivated, and resourceful problem solver with a team player "no task is too small" attitude.
- Have a hunger to learn new skills and show patience in the process.
- Flexible, positive, and creative mindset with ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. High sense of urgency.
- The ability to work comfortably and efficiently in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office & Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
