Design Intern, South Korea
Summary
Design intern collaborates on product development, trend research, and sample management for a media company’s Seoul office, supporting creative pitches and strategic decisions.
The Design Intern reports to the Product Development lead and will be responsible for the following:
- Product Development Meetings: Participate in licensee meetings alongside category managers and designers to gain insights and provide creative inputs.
- Product Design Ideation: Assist with product concept development through researching design trends, exploring creative ideas, and preparing presentation materials for internal reviews and partner pitches.
- Market Trend Research: Conduct in-depth market trends and perform white space analysis to identify potential new business opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
- Sample Inventory Management: Track, record, and organize incoming product samples to ensure smooth workflow and documentation.
Basic Requirements:
- Undergraduate student currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Korean.
- Skillful at MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
- Proactive and outgoing personality adaptable, with a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Able to work onsite in the Seoul office for a minimum of 5 months, from September 2026 to the end of February 2027.
- Able to commit to full-time working hours from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and Keynote are preferred, but not essential.
- Display intellectual acuity by quickly grasping concepts and contributing innovative ideas.
- Outgoing, thriving in social interactions and effortlessly building connections with diverse stakeholders.
- Exhibit great organizational skills to handle tasks with precision and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
